Dengue without warning signs
Define the case
Patients with fever for 2-7 days and 2 of the following symptoms: nausea/vomiting, rash, headache, body and joint pain, positive results (TT+) and low white blood cells
Urgent report and investigation
If there are more cases than normal/epidemic with at least 5 cases in any village
Regular weekly reports
Sample collection
- Collect the pooled blood sample in a serum collection tube (no anticoagulant) and separate the serum.
- Store and transport the sample at a temperature of 4°C-8°C (in the box to be delivered, there must be at least 4 ice cubes
- NCLE must be received the samples within 24-48 hours
- All the samples must be sent for analysis to verify that there is a rapid test (rapid test).

Dengue with warning signs
Define the case
Individuals with fever and 2 of the following symptoms: nausea/vomiting, rash, headache, body and joint pain, exercise Give positive results and low white blood cells and have the following warning signs:
- Abdominal pain is severe and the abdomen is soft but painful
- There is persistent vomiting
- There are signs of thirst
- There is bleeding on the mucous membrane
- Drowsy, restless
- Large liver >2 cm
- Analysis: Hematocrit (HTC) increased while platelet count decreased

The same as collecting samples in malaria patients who do not have warning symptoms

Severe dengue
Define the case
A severe plasma leak can cause:
Shock symptoms
There is dehydration with respiratory failure or severe bleeding: According to the doctor’s evaluation or there is severe impact on the function of other organs:
- Liver: SGOT (Aspartate Transaminase (AST)) or SGPT (Alanine Transaminase (ALT)) ≥ 1000
- The central nervous system causes unconsciousness and
- Heart and other organs
